Form 807, Coverage Research Service Request, is no longer accepted. Please use this service in its place. Coverage research requests made online require payment by credit card (Mastercard or Visa only) or ACH bank payment.
The WCIRB provides the following options for employers, injured workers, insurers and others to access workers’ compensation insurance coverage information:
The Workers’ Compensation Coverage Inquiry website is a free service provided by the WCIRB for anyone to use in order to identify an insurer that wrote a California workers' compensation insurance policy for a specific employer on a specific date within the last five years. To access this free service, go to caworkcompcoverage.com.
Government agencies authorized to receive workers’ compensation coverage information pursuant to California Insurance Code Sections 11752.5 et. seq. and/or 1877 et. seq. can obtain online access to workers’ compensation coverage information through WCIRB Connect. To obtain access to WCIRB Connect, the government agency must complete Form 401, Request for Remote Access to Coverage Information. The WCIRB will issue each user listed in the form a WCIRB Connect user ID and password, which allows access to WCIRB Connect.
The Claims Coverage Research feature of WCIRB Connect provides insurer claims adjusters free and immediate access to detailed coverage information for policies that incept in 1974 or later.

The fee for WCIRB coverage research services is:
Any portion of a year counts as a complete year. Fees are nonrefundable regardless of the outcome of the research. The WCIRB requires advance payment by credit card (Mastercard or Visa only) or ACH bank payment for all online coverage research requests. Please allow up to 60 days from the time your order is submitted for the WCIRB to complete your request(s).
